Sea Shanty Evening
Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat are proud to introduce our very own sea shanty group – singing to raise essential funds for our upcoming projects!
Early in 2023, the partner of a crew volunteer suggested they get a singing group together – partly for some fun and partly with a view to raising essential funds.
So they did just that.
They committed themselves to weekly rehearsing with a professional vocal coach, memorising lines and developing harmonies to complement their individual voices – it soon all started to sound a bit special!
Five months on, and now with nine group members, the strength of voice and confidence is booming – and they do sound pretty darn good!
We are so proud to introduce PLIRB’s very own Pett Slip Buoys!
They have been warming up with a few small private performances, ready for their first full public event on Sunday 24 September from 5pm – come and support them!
An evening of hearty singing, good food and drink.
Any donations received will go towards our operational and training costs!
