Co-op members can support us whilst shopping!

If you regularly call into a branch of Co-op for your shopping, and you’re signed up to their member scheme, then your shopping could help raise funds for us through their Co-op Community Fund donations.

This is an added bonus to the Co-op customer loyalty scheme, so if you’re already a member of the scheme, it’s just a case of accessing your member dashboard online and choosing Pett Level Independent Rescue Boat as your nominated charity. Once you’re signed up, any eligible purchases you make will earn a 1% donation for us.

Just the same as with the AmazonSmile system, it doesn’t cost you any extra when you buy your items but a little extra does come in our direction, which has a very positive effect on our fundraising efforts.

^^ Our habit of stopping off at the Co-op to get milk for the teas and coffees at our Sunday training sessions is starting to boost the fundraising too! 

Becoming a member

If you haven’t yet signed up to the Co-op membership scheme, you can do it online at the Co-op Membership information page.  As well as being able to sign up using this page, you’ll also be able to explore the local causes that the fund supports (you may need to scroll down a little bit).

If you’re not ‘on the doorstep’ local to us but still want to help, scrolling down to the bottom of the membership page described above takes you to a search option, as shown below:

You can support a nominated charity for a Co-op branch within 15 miles of your postcode, so if your postcode happens to be within 15 miles of our local Co-op in Winchelsea Beach (TN36), that’s good news for all of us!

Our one year challenge

Just like the Sainsbury’s local charity support, the Co-op scheme runs for a year at a time. This means the clock’s already ticking away on our challenge to raise as much as we can through these extra donations in the months remaining.
