Yes, the sun shone brightly yesterday for the reopening of the PLIRB Charity Shed! We’ve kept this fundraising going through the winter with our Facebook ‘Charity Shed’ online auctions. However, it’s lovely to be back outside the boathouse on Sunday mornings for a bit of FUNdraising with visitors and the local community.
Things are a little different this year, as our wonderful Barbara takes a bit of a break. She will still be around though and some of our other volunteers will be taking turns at the tables! This weekend’s willing and welcoming volunteers minding the stall included John and Pauline, pictured above.

The charity shed will be opening up every Sunday outside the Boathouse from 10am to 4pm. You’ll find a fabulous selection of bric-a-brac, curios and household items for sale – and even some furniture and textiles from time to time. You can also find some of our fundraising merchandise, including our greetings cards.
We also welcome donations of quality, saleable household items to our charity shed. However, unlike a traditional charity shop, we don’t really have the space to store clothing or books so please be aware that we can’t accept these.
